Welcome to Ermington Community Primary School
Weather situation - January 2010
Dear Parents,
In light of the current uncertainty regarding the weather we will be placing “latest news” on the Virtual Learning Environment which can be accessed at all times on the internet. The web address is www.itslearning.com. The username is news and the password is ermington. You then need to select “Ermington School” from the drop down menu.
Alternatively, for those who have subscribed to the Friday Flyer by e-mail will receive automatic updates. Should you wish to subscribe, please send an e-mail to cdavidson@ermington.devon.sch.uk with the subject “Friday Flyer”. You will then be added to the list.
Should you not have the internet at home there will continue to be a message on the answer phone at school or you could listen to Heart FM or BBC Radio Devon who broadcast updates on School closures.
We're a happy parish school nestling in the South Devon countryside. We're home to 150 pupils during a normal busy school day, and afterwards, return them to their families in Ermington and surrounding villages.
The latest Ofsted Report for the school can be found on the About Us page.
Water Safety
Newsletter
11th December 2009
The Environment Agency is urging young people planning to go swimming, fishing, cycle or simply hang out with friends down by their local river over the summer holidays to be aware of the dangers posed by fast-currents, cold water, structures such as weirs and locks, and unstable riverbanks.
Each year around 50 children under the age of 16 drown. It is the third most common cause of accidental death amongst young people.
The Agency in partnership with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) has designed this leaflet called 'Be Safe around water'.
